NORTHERN BEACON is sculpted from one continuous piece of India soapstone - there are no joins on this work. The icy green and charcoal compliment each other, with raw surfaces indicating ruggedness of the North.
Inukshuks were used for navigation in the frozen Canadian north where in the snow everything appears the same. They pointed lost hunters toward the nearest village for safety. Sometimes food and weapons are cached under the inukshuk
Northern Beacon is 12" x 9.5 x 3 and weighs in at 12.5 pounds.
