This large piece is wonderfully framed and ready to enhance any room. This piece was created using layering of chromatic whites. When viewing this piece, the longer the viewer stares at the scene the more colours emerge from the scene. Because of the way this was constructed the piece changes throughout the day as the ambient light seems to make the polar bear stand out at times and fade away in to the snow at other times.

This scene is based on photographs of a storm just outside Calgary. The challenge with this piece for me was to create a sense of how big and strong this storm front was. By inputting the barn and distant mountains together creates that size effect I was after.

This stretch of highway has always meant a lot to me. Growing up I had the opportunity to drive down around these bends often. Now that I have moved away, this road means more as where I grew up will always be my home just as where I live now is also my home. Travelling this stretch in either direction will always take me home bringing new memories with each passage.
