The wood on this pen is 5590 years old and certified by Laval University in Quebec. The oak, from the Fens in England was submerged in the bogs for centuries before being discovered. The traditional colours of the white oak have been replaced by the minerals and a lack of oxygen, causing the wood to turn blackish-brown. Gold plating surrounds the oak with beautiful smooth lines. The medium #5, German-Made iridium tipped nib is designed for smooth writing and longevity. This pen is truly a conversation starter.
